If you watched this video I made previously, we discussed that cold pressed juicing has many benefits compared to a centrifugal juicer or juices made in your blender. In summary - It retains most of the nutrients as well as provides a better volume and quality of juice compared to other juicers.
Watch instead of read?
Today let’s take a look at everything you can do with a cold pressed juicer using the Hestia Nutri-max cold pressed juicer, who kindly sponsored this video. I’m going to show you 3 key things, you can jump to the right section you want from the chapters in the description.
Vegetable and fruit juices
Sorbets and smoothies
Nut milks
Towards the end, I will also talk about cleaning - which, gauging from the questions on different cold pressed juicing products, is a concern for many people.
Assembling the Hestia Nutri-max cold press juicer
Let’s first assemble your cold pressed juicer - which takes less than a min. Place the juicing bowl, match it with the triangle. Match the strainer, juicing screw, and the feeding tube to the red dots to close it. It’s that simple. The Hestia nutrix max has one of the largest feeding tube diameter of 75mm, so you don’t need to cut your veggies and fruits too much. If you haven't cut it, the feeding tube has a blade as well which can cut big pieces, in which case you may need to use the pusher to push the fruit / vegetable in. There are different strainers for different types of juices - the fine strainer for fruit and vegetable juice and a dessert strainer for sorbets and smoothies. I’ll show you when to use what. Strainers are included as part of the product itself and need not be purchased separately.

I love a good ABC juice - apple, beetroot and carrot. Add a little ginger and it’s yum. Infact this is one juice I can have any day, any time. You get to consume so much more vegetables than you would if you just eat them. So this one glass of ABC juice has 2 beetroots, 4 carrots and 1 apple. You can also add a little bit of spinach if you want to get some greens.
When you are using more than one ingredient, you can keep the smart cap closed so that the different ingredients mix well together. A cold pressed juicer runs at a low RPM, Hestia Nutri-max having one of the lowest rpm of 46 - so the sound from the juicer is really low. This also helps to minimize oxidation of the juice, making sure the juice does not separate and has a rich color. It presses and grinds ingredients instead of cutting, helping it to retain most of the nutrients of the fruit / vegetable. The pulp from juicing gets collected in the pulp cup and you can see that there is very little water or juice in the pulp. It has nicely extracted all the juice from the fruits and vegetables. It’s also great for a person like me who composts, as less water in the waste is better for the compost!
And the texture, color and taste of juice is incredible.

If you need to get your sweet fix without really getting a dessert - a frozen fruit sorbet is perfect. Let’s try it with frozen mangoes, as it’s the season. So I’m going to peel and cut about 3-4 mangoes and keep them in the freezer overnight. It’s now the next day. My frozen mangoes are ready. I’ll let it thaw for about 10-15 minutes. From the juicer, replace the fine filter that we use for juicing with the dessert filter. Just add the frozen mangoes to the Hestia Nutri-max cold pressed juicer and your sorbet and sweet fix is ready. Top it up with some mint and serve!
Nut milk with Hestia Nutri-max cold press juicer
And lastly, nut milks - you can use any nut of your choice - soy / cashew or almond milk.
How expensive are store made alternatives! If you have replaced dairy milk with nut milk, these homemade nut milks can be ideal. Soak the nut you want to use for a minimum of 3 hours, overnight is preferred. I’m using Soya in this case. Here we will use the fine filter again that we used for juicing. Add the soaked soya and water alternatingly to get soy milk. Add more or less water based on your preferred texture for soya milk. You can then use the pulp generated for cooking too.
Cleaning the Hestia Nutri-max cold press juicer
Lastly, let’s come to the boring part for most of us, cleaning the juicer. The good thing is it is relatively easy. After you are done juicing, just add about 500ml water keeping the smart cap open. Most of the pulp will come out of the juicer. Repeat with dishwash liquid if required. Remove each part and rinse. Brush the strainer as required. Once in a while, you can soak the strainers in warm water overnight and brush it to keep the pores in the strainers clear. You can also add it to the dishwasher if you like as all parts of the Hestia Nutri max cold pressed juicer are dishwasher safe.
Hestia Nutrimax was one of the products I recommended in my video on cold-pressed juicers, way before they sent me their product to review. Not only do they offer the best diameter in the feeding tube and one of the lowest rpm, the Hestia Nutrimax also offers the best in class warranty of 10 years.
Hi.
Thanks for a wonderful video on cold pressed juicers. I am planning to buy a Hestia but am thoroughly confused between the difference, if any between the Hestia nutri max wine red (AVL for 14999) and the Hestia nutri max silver (17999)
The website has confusing info...someplaces is mentions 43 rpm and some places 55.
Is there a difference between the two? Which should one buy
