I recently had to replace the fan in my home in the room I use as my YouTube studio. For this I needed an elegant and stylish looking fan that would be silent to avoid background noise and disturbance while recording. Let’s unbox the fan. I selected the Silk White variant of the Crompton SilentPro Enso which matches the aesthetic of my room. It also comes in 3 other colour variants that you can choose based on your decor style - a traditional "All white", or darker variants like Charcoal grey and the Chestnut wood~~.~~ In addition to the SilentPro Enso, Crompton has a wide range of energy efficient fans. The SilentPro Enso is a premium looking fan which has a fluidic design and has an AeroDynamic ABS body that makes it silent in operation. The fan is powered by ActivBLDC technology and comes with a point anywhere remote. The SilentPro Enso has an additional safety feature - a safety wire that prevents a fan from falling incase of improper installation or wearing of fan parts over time.
Now let’s see how the fan performs with our various tests.
1. The Noise Test
As the name suggests, the Crompton SilentPro Enso makes an excellent, silent roommate. It has an aerodynamic design with an ABS body that makes it 2 times more silent than the conventional fans that are made of metal bodies. Its noise level is as low as 52 decibels - which is just as much noise you would hear in a quiet home.
2. Running Costs
A regular non-star rated fan uses upto 80W for every hour of usage, while ~~~~Crompton SilentPro only uses 40W. So hands down a 50% saving in energy consumption.
If you have 4 such fans, it's an approximate saving of Rs. 6,000 every year if you are running for 16 hours. Given that fans are typically used for over 10 years as per my survey, this fan pays back for itself within 4-5 years.

3. The Efficiency and Performance Test

The Air Delivery tells us how much air is circulated by the fan~~.~~ It is calculated using cubic meter per minute - higher the number, the better. ~~~~While most fans have air delivery 210 to 230 cmm, SilentPro Enso has an airflow of 240 cubic meter per minute - which is best in class.

4. The Control Test
The SilentPro Enso can be controlled via a "Point anywhere" remote which is quite different from how we use most of our other remotes TVs / ACs. You can pair multiple SilentPro Enso fans with the same remote. With its intelligent memory function, it remembers the fan speed mode before it was turned off and runs on the same mode when switched on later. The remote control also comes with a timer function which can be used to turn off the fan after pre-defined number of hours.
