A filterless chimney has lower day to day maintenance than a baffle chimney but is more expensive than a baffle chimney. I’ve linked to a detailed video on baffle vs filterless as well as best baffle filter chimneys in the description . In my opinion, a filterless chimney is sufficient for home use - but they do tend to be more expensive than the ones with baffle filters. So you can decide based on your budget and needs.

SIZE OF FILTERLESS CHIMNEYS
Let’s start with size - chimneys come in 2 different sizes in general - 60 cm width and 90 cm width. The size you select will need to be based on:
Your hob / stove / cooktop size - if you have a 60 cm hob / cooktop, then a 60cm is sufficient
Your cooking style - if you do use lot of oil and grease, the 90cm variants come with a much higher suction power - so you can choose that.
In this video, I will cover only 60cm models as that’s the most requested size. All the recommendations will have a 90 cm variant too - which I will link to in the description.
CURVED VS ANGULAR FILTERLESS CHIMNEYS
Next is the design - these days filterless chimneys are available in 3 main styles - curved, T shape and angular. Angular chimneys look great, but are definitely more expensive. Infact - I’ve limited the chimney price point comparison at 20K in the video, hence you will not see some of the more expensive angular chimneys in the comparison. I personally like the angular one and have been using an angular chimney for over a year. Most of the chimneys come with a touch and gesture control - with the exception of some models of Faber, Hindware, MODA - which offer only touch and one model of Faber and Kutchina having only button controls.

DUCT VS DUCTLESS FILTERLESS CHIMNEYS
All are with duct - unfortunately. But it is possible to add some carbon filters to make them ductless - but more often than not - brands don’t have those in stock or don’t promote these filters. When I was researching mine - I wanted a ductless option with an angular shape, but could not find a brand that would have the filters for it. So had to go for a with duct option.
SUCTION POWER OF FILTERLESS CHIMNEYS
Next is the suction power. The suction power determines how much oil, grease, and heat the chimney is able to suck from the air. If your kitchen size is large - above 200sq ft or you use more oil in your cooking or you have multiple bends in the duct before it reaches the exit - then you need a chimney with higher suction power. Else, in general a 1200 cubic meter per hour suction power is sufficient for most usecases. Filterless chimneys in 60cm typically have a suction power between 1000-1400 cubic meter per hour. If you need higher suction power - you can go for a baffle filter.
Next is the noise levels - higher the suction power, higher is the noise levels. Amongst the models compared, some Hafele and Glen Pace give the least noise to suction ratio.
Auto clean is almost a given now - all models come with auto clean tech.
🛒🛒 BUY BEST AUTO-CLEAN FILTERLESS CHIMNEY
Pricing varies from Rs. 9000 to Rs. 20000 - the angular ones are in general more expensive than the other two shapes. Pricing also varies by suction power - higher suction power has higher pricing - ofcourse based on the brand.
Warranty is in general 1 year on product with 5 years on motor - Elica gives additional 15 years on motor, hindware, whirlpool and hafele give 10+ years on motor, Kaff gives 2 years + 7 years on motor, Kutchina gives lifetime warranty on motor - based on the specific model you select.
I’ll categorize my recommendations based on angular filterless chimneys and curved / T-shaped chimneys. As highlighted earlier - angular filterless chimneys are at a higher pricepoint than curved chimneys.

My recommendations for the best angular filterless chimneys are:
Elica angular filterless chimney - at a price of about 16K, a one year warranty with 15 years on motor, a 1100 cubic meter per hour suction power with both touch and gesture capability - this model gives the best value for money (and is the brand I use as well for the last 1+ years)
Hindware Skyla filterless chimney - if you are looking for a model with a higher suction power, I recommend this model with a suction power of 1350 cubic meter per hour, a price point of about 19.5K, a 1 year warranty on product with 10 years on the motor, and both touch and gesture controls. Service from Hindware does seem like a bit of a concern based on the reviews I read for various different models of Hindware.
Faber does have a few angular chimneys - but those are beyond 20K in price and hence not included here but I have linked the best in the description.
BEST CURVED AUTO-CLEAN FILTERLESS CHIMNEYS
My recommendations for the best curved / T-shaped filterless chimneys are:

Faber hood orient or Faber hood Everest filterless chimney - both of these come with a 1200 cubic meter per hour suction power and a pricepoint of about 13.5 -14k - based on the model. Faber also has the same model with a slightly higher suction power 1250 cubic meter per hour at a higher pricepoint. 1200 is quite sufficient and the most popular suction power that will suit most Indian homes (unless they are exceptionally large, in which case you may need a 90cm one with a much higher suction power). Faber also has one of the best service for chimneys.
Elica Nero is my next recommendation at a price of 12.5K. It gives a 1 year warranty on product with 5 years on motor, a 1200 cubic meter per hour suction with both touch and gesture controls.
At a budget, I would recommend the Inalsa Zylo. At a price of 9.5K, it offers a great warranty of 2 years with 7 years on the motor. It has a suction power of 1250 cubic meter per hour but also has a high one of the highest noise level at 65db. Reviews don’t state it is too annoying though.
